We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to take on a Parts Associate role at our shop located in Newcastle, DE, servicing specifically Peterbilt and TRP parts and products. Ideally, the candidate will have some training on CAT, Cummins, and PACCAR products, and demonstrate the following qualities:
Communication Skills: Employee must have the ability to actively listen to issues presented, comprehend information given to them, and think critically to trouble-shoot a customer’s needs.
Empathy: The ability to see any issue from the customer’s point of view. The employee must have an awareness that our customers often come to us because they have a problem; know the situation before acting.
Problem-Solving: The employee will have the ability to overcome obstacles by applying knowledge of the products and or the procedures learned on the job to complete any task at hand. A professional parts person is a problem solver.
Time-Management: The employee will prioritize what tasks are important and in what order then need to be done.
Self-Sufficiency: Be able to accept instruction and carry out tasks without constant supervision.
